Sneak-Peek

A blue creature sat perched on a high tree branch. It observed the ongoing of the worl below with a pair of beady black eyes. It's coiled tail loosened and grasped the branch it was seated on. Sliding down, it hung in the air, a few feet of the ground.

"They seem to have come to far into the forest," it muttered. The azure colored being's body suddenly disappeared. Only a pale green stripe was visible. The stripe pattern darted across the earth and paused.

"Hatchet!" a voice called. A shadowed silhouette stirred within the heart of a tree. "What now?" a cold voice bounced back. The pattern shifted.

"Prepare. They are coming."
